Haven had her 2 week doctor appointment today and everything looks great!!
She weighed in at 11.03lbs and was 23 inches long!! (At Venily's 2 week she was 8lbs, 9oz and 22in) The doctor and nurse both said that she was a very big girl!! And everyone that saw her today asked me if she was 2 or 3 months old, lol!
The doctor said that she is very alert and appears to be very healthy. She does have a small umbilical hernia (which I had thought) but that should go away on its own. She also has a clogged tear duct, but I just need to rub the area a couple times a day.
I asked about her spitting up and told her how Venily spit up until she was 10 months and how she had a lactose sensitivity until she was 19 months old, and the doctor wants me to limit my dairy intake and see if that helps. I also have to keep her upright for 20 minutes after she eats. The doctor thinks she probably has reflux too and if it isn't better by her next appointment at 2 months we can look at reflux medications, though it's obviously not too big a problem since she has no problem gaining weight. I really wish I would have had her as my pediatrician when Venily was born!
Oh and last night I think Haven slept for 5 or 6 straight hours until I woke her up to change her diaper!!! I'm not positive on the times, but I'm pretty sure! :)

I just wanted to say that I LOVE reading your blog! It is one of the only ones I even check anymore! lol! Since our baby's are only 3 days apart, I love seeing what Haven is doing, and there is always so much that I can relate to! :)
ReplyDeleteWho is Haven's Pediatrician? My Doctor referred me to Dr Rocco. I'm really excited to meet her and I've heard alot of good things about her.

ReplyDeleteHaven's pediatrician is Dr. Welka in Waterford. Dr. Rocco is AWESOME though! She wasn't accepting new patients when I tried to get her when Venily was a baby, so if you can get in with her, I would! I really like Dr. Welka too, but she only works Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that kind of sucks!
