July 2, 2008 (Venily is 8 months, 2 weeks, 5 days old)

WELCOME BABY BRYANT RALPH!!!! Bryant was born at 6:28 this morning at 6lbs, 1oz and 20.25 inches long!!! We're so happy to have our newest nephew here at last! Mommy and baby are doing great! He's soooo cute and tiny and looks JUST like his Daddy! Congrats Kayla and Jim!!

May 27, 2008 (Venily is 7 months, 2 weeks old)

Happy Birthday CHASE!!! Chase turned 2 years old yesterday!! Oh my gosh, he's getting so big!



We had a very nice Memorial Day weekend! We went to Chocolate Fest for a little bit and have been playing outside and going for tons of walks! Venily just LOVES being outside!! Yesterday was Memorial Day and we saw the Chocolate Fest parade. Venily loved that too, she's just fasincated by everything, lol! And she didn't get scared at all! Even when the bands would go by or when this guy in a full ape suit came up to her and was by her for a while, she didn't even cry, haha! I couldn't even look at him or I would have cried! :) I'm so blessed that she's such a good little girl! Yesterday she also went on her first boat ride and liked that too! I'm so happy, this is going to be a very fun summer! We're already talking about when we're going to take her on her first camping experience! Possibly Devil's Lake, I can't wait! And I know Kaitlyn can't wait either! :)

Updates... let's see... I still need to get her 7 month pics taken! Sometime this week, I promise! Venily said Mama to me last week!! She usually only says Dada! But after I got her to say it a few times, she switched it back to Dada! HA! Whenever I tell her to say Mama, she says Dada. Oh well! I know I'm still her favorite! :)

Still no more crawling! She gets around so good without crawling though, I don't see her too eager to try. She can schooch around pretty good and pull herself up to sitting if she has something to grab onto. (Especially in her crib, I find her now in all sorts of different positions when I come get her from her naps or in the morning!) Sometimes when she tries to crawl, she ends up moving backwards, lol! Then gets very mad! She can pull herself up to standing now too if I help her. She loves it and is getting good at balancing but has no regard for danger and I have to be quick to catch her when she falls! :)

She ALMOST stopped spitting up.... but has her days now when she sometimes does! I am trying to find a food-link but haven't been able to do it! I can't wait until the day when she no longer spits up, haha, but by then I'm sure her new sibling will be on her way and will be a spitter-upper too!

April 30, 2008 (Venily is 6 months, 2 weeks, 3 days old)

Poor little cousin Chase broke his leg!!! Get well soon my little Chaserson!!! He broke it going down the slide. He will be 2 on May 26th! He is such a brave, strong little boy, we know he'll be fine! Lots of hugs and kisses!

April 18, 2008 (Venily is 6 months, 5 days old)



Our new nephew Landen Michael made his way into the world on April 12 and we are so happy that he is finally here! We just love him! He was a big 9lbs, 4 oz and 21.25 inches long! Venily is officially no longer the baby in the family, but she doesn't mind! She loves her new cousin and can't wait until he is old enough to play with! He is so cute and little, I just want to look at him and hold him all day long! It makes me want another sooo badly, lol! It was so cool to be able to watch the whole labor process from another perspective so soon after giving birth to Venily. It was like reliving the whole thing over again! And he was born in the same hospital, in the same room as Venily!


VENILY TURNED 6 MONTHS OLD ON THE 13TH!!!!! Oh my gosh! I can't even believe it! Seriously, where has the time gone?! She's definitely not a baby anymore, she's my little girl and I still get overwhelmed with emotion when I look at her! How can I be a mom? How can I have such a perfect little princess? I still can't believe it! Only 6 more months left until her big 1 YEAR Birthday Party!!!

Venily had her 6 month appointment on Monday and was 16lbs, 13 oz and 27.25 inches long! The doctor says she looks very healthy!

We moved into Grandma and Grandpa's on Sunday and everything is going great with that! I think it's nicer than our last house! Venily has transitioned very well and LOVES seeing all the people coming and going from the house all the time! Jason has already started getting the permits and stuff in order for our new house and we should be good to go with starting the septic within a week! Then it will be working on the construction loan, digging the foundation, and all that fun stuff!

We have been LOVING the weather lately, I'm so glad that Spring is finally here, we needed it so badly! Venily really loves playing outside and going for walks! She played in the grass for the first time the other day! The first thing my little girl does is pick up a clump of dirt and start playing with it! Ahhhh! NO! Then when I took that away she picked some grass and tried eating it, lol! We played with bubbles and she went in the swing all by herself for the first time and swang with Matt and Kaitlyn! We also went for a walk down by our property and I fell in love with Lily Lake all over again! It's just such a nice place to grow up! I can't wait until she gets to go to Wheatland and I get to bring her to her little friends' houses and have her friends over at our house!

Some updates: Venily LOVES to sit and can sit for as long as she wants! She also rolls over both ways no problem. She's still not crawling yet, but I am FINE with that! :) I don't want her to crawl, even though I know it has to happen eventually!!! I already have to keep my eyes on her all the time as it is! She's doing great with finger foods now and can even pick them up and feed them to herself! Sometimes she can't quite get them in her mouth, but it is SOOO funny to watch, lol! She loves the fruit and veggies puffs and bits of my food too! I've been making a lot more of her foods too now, and I like that, even though it's more work. I can make it to the consistency that I want, which is nice! We have yet to find a food that she DOESN'T like!

At 6 months....
Venily's LIKES:
* Eating finger foods, she goes CRAZY for them!
* Other kids and animals- they make her so happy! She's just like her Mommy! :)
* BATHS!!! Yay, she finally likes baths!! Now she sometimes gets mad when we take her out! And her favorite toys now are bath toys!
* Playing outside and going for walks!
* Looking around at everything, she's the most observant little girl ever!
* Playing with anything that someone else is holding, she wants it for herself!
* Being silly, and playing copying games!



Venily DISLIKES:
* Being tired! She is definitely a girl who needs her naps!

April 10, 2008 (Venily is 5 months, 4 weeks old)

Sorry no updates in a while, we are crazy busy with packing and all... moving out on Sunday, oh my gosh, we're not even close to being ready! I'll try to update on Monday after Venily's 6 month check up! She is getting so big and has learned some new tricks! Her favorite is "so big". I have some videos of her doing it, I'll have to put one up when I get the time, it's so cute!

LANDEN IS COMING TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! WE CAN'T WAIT!!! Kaitlyn is spending the night tonight and right now both of the girls are sleeping! I can't believe how grown up Kaitlyn is! It's weird because we see her so much, but to really look at her and see just how big she is...is CRAZY! Jason says he can't wait until Venily is that big! And she is just SOOO hilarious, me and Jason have been cracking up all night! Right now she is sleeping in a tent right next to our bed, lol! She is going to be just the best big sister ever! She is very excited to go see her baby brother tomorrow! We love our neice and nephews and can't wait for little Landen to be here!!!!! :)

November 24, 2007 (Venily 1 month, 1 week, 4 days old)

Venily is 6 weeks old today! And I am tired, lol! We have had a couple of difficult nights this week because Venily has a cold! :( It is really sad, I think she caught it from Chase because I brought her up to see him earlier in the week and he had a really bad cold- I kept them apart, but apparently not far enough...I guess I learned my lesson! Running our Vick's vaporizer has helped her along with sucking out her nose a couple times during the night. I'm not feeling very well either... and winter hasn't even started yet!




Venily had her first Thanksgiving and she did great! She went to her Grandma Lauren's and Grandpa Don's and then to her Great Grandma and Grandpa Reyer's and slept most of the day while being held. She had on her little Thanksgiving dress and looked adorable! That night though was the worst! LOL! I can tell this story now because it's been a couple of days, but it was definitely not funny at the time. She wasn't feeling that well during the night and you could tell that something was bothering her. She was fussy and wanted to be held and as soon as she'd fall asleep and I'd put her down, she'd wake back up and be sad. So, I kept feeding her b/c that made her happy and I didn't know what else to do. When she was done, she fell asleep on my chest and I decided to lay her next to me on the bed b/c she sleeps better like that and I was REALLY tired. Well, we were sleeping face-to-face, only a couple inches apart and she projectile threw up ALL over! Oh my gosh! It went in my mouth, all over my face and in my eyes and all in my hair, it was disgusting! My eyes were burning. It was 1:30 in the morning and I just started bawling, lol, because I was soooo tired. Jason had to get up at 5:30 but he woke up and cleaned her all up (she threw up a couple more times after that) and took off the sheets and pillow cases and everything else that she threw up all over while I went in the shower. After that she felt a lot better and was finally able to get some sleep. Looking back at it now it just seems like such a classic new baby moment that you hear about all the time, lol. Hopefully it's a while before anything like that happens again!

During the days Venily has been very happy though!! Her new favorite thing is her mirror toy. She LOVES looking at her gorgeous little face in the mirror and she swings her arms around and can actually play with some of the toys on it (though I don't know if it's intentual or not :), it's still really cute). She likes to talk to things too with her baby voice. The other day it was so cute too! We put her mobile above her changing table because she doesn't go in her crib yet and it gives her something to look at while getting changed. Well, I put her on there and I forgot to start it up and she was just looking up at it with the most concerned look on her face. I saw her and started it up. As soon as the music started playing she started smiling so big and it just made her so happy to have her friends singing to her- it was so precious! I still haven't caught her adorable smile on camera yet, it's so hard! I have one of her sleep smiling, but it's not the same. Hopefully I'll be able to get one soon!

I go for my 6 week postpartum visit on Monday and my pregnancy adventure will officially be over- that feels so weird to me! But... our family has a lot more pregnancy and babies to go!!! Venily is getting ANOTHER new baby cousin!!! CONGRATS Uncle Jim and Aunt Kayla! We are all so excited!



All three new babies will be so close in age and in the same grade level is school, it's so ideal! They are going to be the best of friends! Uncle Jason is already planning family trips with all of the little ones, it's going to be so fun!

Keep the babies coming, I can't get enough of them, lol!

August 15, 2007 (30 weeks, 6 days pregnant)






We're proud to announce that our family is growing by one more!!!!! Venily is getting a new baby cousin in April and has been so excited about it! :) She's been kicking more and more ever since she found out! The baby is only going to be 6 months younger than her and they are going to be in the same grade level in school!!!! It's going to be so much fun! Venily kind of wants another girl cousin but big sister Kaitlyn kind of wants a baby brother so we are going to be thrilled no matter what! OR- maybe one of each? LOL, just kidding Jacki! We love all of our kids so much and can't wait for a new niece or nephew!!! The next year (and on!) is surely going to be filled with tons of excitement!!
