Oh my goodness and she is so fricken cute saying them!! I will have to get it on video! She sometimes gets stuck on them like Venily with her stuttering, lol (actually though, I didn't even realize but Venily STOPPED stuttering, lol, I guess it was just a 2 week thing!)! Oh I could listen to Haven saying "Bbbbbuh, bbbbuh, bbbbbuh!" all day long! :)

Doctor Visit
We took the girls into the walk-in yesterday because they were still so miserable. Both girls ended up having left ear infections and upper respiratory infections and are now on antibiotics. It was Haven's first ever sick visit! [It's going to be really hard to get Jason to let me take the girls out to their classes and play group now, but I WILL do it!] Both girls did really well while at the doctor's. Venily was only a little shy and Haven even got a Nebulizer breathing treatment and stayed her little adorable, happy self! :) Haven weighed in at 17lbs, 8oz (@4m, 3w, 1d old) and Venily weighed 29.5lbs (@2years, 4months).

My gosh, I LOVE her!! I am NOT a religious person at all but I do believe in destiny and in something bigger than ourselves. And I truly believe that Haven is meant to do huge things with her happy little personality! She is going to have an impact on thousands of people as she does with everyone near her. She is my little sunshine and she is going to make so many people so very happy! I can't wait to see all that she accomplishes, because it's going to be AMAZING! :)
I hope my girls start feeling better soon! Last night was rough!! And I'm still really sick as well.

We're sick!
It's the third day in a row that Haven, Venily, and I have been sick! It's so sad! The girls are doing really well with it, but it breaks my heart to see them look so miserable and cough so much! They also both have fevers, runny noses, and are really congested! :( I've been checking their temps every few hours and giving them Tylenol and Ibuprofen (for Venily when her fever is over 100). It's bad enough that I don't even want to take care of myself, but I of course have to take care of them first! We are all staying in our pajamas today! haha.
Last night at like 1:30am Venily came into our room and I took her temp, gave her some more medicine and put her back to bed. While she was laying in bed I read her an extra story and felt her head and gave her a kiss and she says "I'm still stick (sick) Mommy! Now leave and go to your bed!" Haha, she reminded me of that episode of friends where Monica is sick and can't talk right!
Venily is happy that she gets to watch t.v. all day. She's never done that before. I usually only let her watch a couple of shows in the morning! She kept saying "T.V. is for mornings ONLY!" lol She's still pretty active though, it's hard to keep a 2 year old still for long! Haven is extra cuddly and sleepy, which is actually kind of sweet, but when I hear her cough or raspy breathing it completely breaks my heart!

Haven is 4.5 months!
Just a few little 4.5 month updates! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! It makes me want to cry, I want her stay little forever!
Teething- She HAS to be teething. Just has to be! Whether or not we see teeth soon is another issue. I hope she holds off though!
She loves to have her right hand in her mouth and her left hand touching the top of her head. I just adore it!
She is getting really good at pushing herself up during tummy time. When I see her trying to get up on all fours, my heart literally drops! She has been doing a "back bend" thing too while on her back. I now have to strap her in her bouncer or she'll literally back-bend her way out of there!
We are also working on sitting! She can do it for a few seconds at a time. She's definitely got the "tripod" sitting thing down and can do it without her hands as well. She prefers to stand though so the most difficult part is getting her to sit in the first place because she always locks her legs, lol!
She has started scratching this last week. Not herself, but like the side of her bed or her exersaucer or any other hard surface. It sounds like a little mouse! She especially loves to do this in the morning when she wakes up but is just hanging out in her bed!
Haven has had rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, and bananas now! She LOVES them all! She grabs my hand and tries to pull the spoon into her mouth faster! And gets mad when it's all gone! :) Bananas are her all time favorite, she goes NUTS for them! :) Like I predicted though, orange spit up is NO fun at all!!
We also moved her up to size 3 diapers about a week ago. Her weight qualifies her for either size 2 or size 3, but we ran out of size 2's so I tried the 3's and like them WAY better! Just another indication that she is getting too big too fast! Venily only ever got up to size 3's by the time she was potty trained!!
Also, she used to roll over her right shoulder to roll over from her stomach to her back, but now she is rolling over her left shoulder as well! :) She loves to roll over stomach-to-back and back-to-stomach! She has been rolling and rolling and rolling so much the last couple of days! She WON'T lay still! :)
Haven continues to be a very laid back, VERY happy, very cuddly little girl! I love her sooooo much!!! I'm going to start playing the lottery so I can have another!! :) I can't describe the absolute feeling of contentment and elation while holding her, especially while she's sleeping! She's such a little doll!

I think the curse has lifted! :)
I haven't written anything in this last week mostly because Haven had been cursed with 7 straight nights of bad sleeping!! She used to be fighting to stay awake at 7pm and this whole last week she'd start getting REALLY fussy around 7, but if I put her in her bed she'd SCREAM! And this would go on until 10:00-10:30pm!!! Not good when I was so used to getting things done around the house and relaxing during this time! She only wanted to sleep on me and when I'd try to set her in her bed, she'd wake up and cry again! But she was still taking great naps during the day, no problem, and completely putting herself to sleep then!
And, NO, it wasn't the earrings! :) She had zero problems all day long and I play with and clean her earrings all the time and they don't bother her at all!
Anyway, last night she went to bed at 8:30pm!!!! Woke up once at 9:30pm and I thought I was in for another hour+ of crying and fighting sleep, but she just ate and went right back to sleep. Actually it's 8:50am right now and she's still sleeping! :)

More rolling!
Haven rolled from her stomach to her back today for the first time! I need to get a video of her during tummy time, she is sooo funny! She goes so crazy "swimming" and then tries to push up on all fours and then goes back to "swimming" and so on! I think she is going to be on the move way sooner than I'm ready!!

I HAVE THE MOST EXCITING (non baby related) NEWS IN THE WORLD TO SHARE...
I had thought that my 2 sickeningly gorgeous girls couldn't get any cuter.... apparently they could, BOTH of my gorgeous little girls got their EARS PIERCED TODAY!!!! Can you even believe it?!
I have literally been begging Jason since BEFORE VENILY WAS BORN!!! I have always imagined myself a mother to little girls with their ears pierced! It seems unnatural to me that someone would be AGAINST it, but Jason was dead set on them never getting them pierced! Well, I worked my magic and finally convinced him to grudgingly let me get it done! The girls had some money left over from Christmas and I researched around. I found a place that had 2 qualified, experienced ear piercing people and I found out when they were both working at the same time. They both got both ears done at one time, so it wasn't bad at all! Both girls just cried for a second and then were as happy as could be! We even went right to Music & Me class afterwards and both girls had a great time! Venily was showing off her earrings to EVERYONE, LOL!!!! She is so proud of them!! [Side note: Venily is NO longer shy at the library at all! She is actually really outgoing now!!]

Rice Cereal!!
Haven is 4 Months Old!!
Haven's 4 month well check went great today! She is very healthy and the doctor and nurse were laughing at her growth charts, lol! Her weight and head circumference are still high, but they are starting to taper off a bit, but her height is continuing to skyrocket! :) She is able to do everything she is supposed to, plus way more! And the doctor gave me the green light to start her on rice cereal, but I don't have to until she is 6 months old. I want to start today though, we'll see how she likes it!! The doctor didn't see any indications of teeth coming soon, so hopefully we get to hold off on that, Venily didn't get her first tooth until she was almost 8 months, so I'm hoping Haven doesn't either! She had 3 immunizations today and just cried for a second and was all better once I picked her up! Next appointment is at 6 months.
Here are her 4 month stats:
Weight: 16lbs, 4oz
Length: 27 inches
Head Circumference: 41.5 centimeters
(Venily was 15lbs, 4oz and 25.5 in)
Clothes size: mostly 9m & 12m (I squeeze her into a couple 6-9m things as well!)
Diaper size: 2
Shoe size: 2 (I think... not that I ever put her in her millions of pairs of shoes!)
SLEEPING: 9-11.5 straight hours a night! We had a few weeks of waking 1 and sometimes 2 times a night and now she is back to sleeping 11+ hours straight again! :) She gets soooo tired in the evening though! Sometimes she goes to bed for the night at 5:30pm, so I try to keep her up as long as I can! Even then though she usually wakes to eat around 5:00am and then goes right back to sleep for me! She takes 2-3 really good naps most days! And she is still putting herself to sleep which is my FAVORITE thing ever! Haven and I both like sleep, which is awesome! Venily STILL would rather play than sleep anyday!
EATING: Still exclusively breastfeeding! We started trying a sippy cup this last week too! We have one sippy cup session a day... she only takes about an ounce from it. She likes it and can latch on and get it going good, but a lot more comes out at a time than she's used to, so she has to take a lot of breaks to breath and then latches back on, haha.
WE GET TO START RICE CEREAL TODAY!!! I'm so excited!! And I have 8 different baby food to start trying after her cereals! :) I'm looking forward to firmer (though not as nice smelling) diapers... maybe we won't have so many blowout diapers, lol! I am NOT looking forward to colored spit up though, I'm going to have to wear a poncho and cover my house in sheets to keep everything from getting stained! :(
PLAYING: Her favorite toys are anything she can grab onto and put into her mouth! She LOVES her carseat mobile, her rattles, and teething rings and her excersaucer. She also could play with Venily for HOURS!! She loves her so, so much! ♥ She loves splashing in the bath and rolling around on the floor with her toys!
I'm really impressed with how content she is solo playing as well! Sometimes I put her on the ground with a few toys and forget she's there b/c she just plays there happily until I or Venily come play with her!! She's such a laid-back, content baby! It definitely makes being a mom of 2 very easy! I can help Venily out with stuff and Haven just patiently waits her turn! You have to love her!! :)
APPEARANCE: Still has very blue eyes and very little hair! She is chunky, but VERY long as well!!! :)

March 9, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 3 weeks, 4 days old)
We have a name for our next daughter!!!! LOL, I fell in love with another name yesterday and Jason likes it too! It'll go really well with Venily too! I know I'm a dork, but I'm really excited. Now I want another girl so I can use the name.
...Just like I'm already picking out paint colors for Venily's future bedroom and looking at cakes for her first birthday! HAHA!
*4 days until Venily turns 5 months!
*1 week until the dells!
*1 month until Landen is due!

March 6, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 3 weeks, 1 day old)
Quick updates while Venily is napping (she's still taking awesome naps during the day)!
We've started to take baths with her now! It's the only way she'll take one without crying. It works out very nicely. She likes playing in the water and it calms her down, but when you try to give her a bath by herself she doesn't like it. What a goofy girl.
Oh and if you haven't figured out from the pictures, Venily LOVES to stick out her tongue now. We do it to her a lot because it makes her laugh, so now she does it to us.
She has tried a whole bunch of different food now and so far likes everything (haven't tried green beans yet b/c I'm afraid she won't like them, lol)! But, now that she has had food, her plain cereal doesn't interest her any more. She'll only eat it mixed with fruit, haha! Oh well! And once her baby food that I bought runs out I'm going to the store to buy her all fresh organic fruits and vegetables that I'll make into babyfood myself! My poor baby, I'm already turning into one of those psycho moms. I'm also looking into getting her a baby sign language book, I'm fasinated by the idea. At least I'll get some use out of my teaching degree!
Yesterday Venily tried a sippy cup and drinking out of a cup. Jason thought I was crazy, but she's almost 5 months... it's not THAT crazy. She only has one bottle that she'll drink out of so I want her to be introduced to more options. She bit on the end of the sippy cup and had no clue what it was for!! She thought it was a toy. Then I took off the top and had her drink it out of the cup. It was SOOO cute! She was very excited about it, because it came so fast. HAHAHA! She did pretty good too, I'd say about 25-50% she actually got in her mouth and drank. She didn't know what to do with her tongue though, she kept sticking it out. I'll try it with her again every couple of days and see if she can get the hang of it.
She's also so close to rolling over from her back to her stomach it's not even funny. I bet I could blow her and she'd be over! I keep grabbing my camera every time she is close, but she won't do it. I'm sure she'll wait until I'm out of the room to do it the first time. She rolls all the time though from her stomach to her back. She's been schooching around a lot more too, she doesn't go anywhere, just spins in circles. She can also sit up by herself for a couple seconds at a time before she topples over.
Well, she is awake now, playing in her crib and talking to herself. She is getting really good at the "g" sounds. She also does some "b's" and "d's". She found a new way to talk that is really funny too!
Oh and we bought a lot, signed the papers yesterday! I'm really hoping everything works out with it and am crossing my fingers that we'll be able to have our house built and ready to move in by Venily's first birthday!! We'll see!
So I grabbed her and am trying to type while feeding her and it used to be no problem. But she is SOOOO interested in everything now, with every little noise she wants to see what is going on. It's really cute, but it makes it harder to feed her with her getting distracted all the time!
And now she is sitting in my lap and trying to type again. I have a feeling my updates are going to be fewer and fewer as the time goes by! Here is a message from Venily, before she gets mad...

Quick updates while Venily is napping (she's still taking awesome naps during the day)!
We've started to take baths with her now! It's the only way she'll take one without crying. It works out very nicely. She likes playing in the water and it calms her down, but when you try to give her a bath by herself she doesn't like it. What a goofy girl.
Oh and if you haven't figured out from the pictures, Venily LOVES to stick out her tongue now. We do it to her a lot because it makes her laugh, so now she does it to us.
She has tried a whole bunch of different food now and so far likes everything (haven't tried green beans yet b/c I'm afraid she won't like them, lol)! But, now that she has had food, her plain cereal doesn't interest her any more. She'll only eat it mixed with fruit, haha! Oh well! And once her baby food that I bought runs out I'm going to the store to buy her all fresh organic fruits and vegetables that I'll make into babyfood myself! My poor baby, I'm already turning into one of those psycho moms. I'm also looking into getting her a baby sign language book, I'm fasinated by the idea. At least I'll get some use out of my teaching degree!
Yesterday Venily tried a sippy cup and drinking out of a cup. Jason thought I was crazy, but she's almost 5 months... it's not THAT crazy. She only has one bottle that she'll drink out of so I want her to be introduced to more options. She bit on the end of the sippy cup and had no clue what it was for!! She thought it was a toy. Then I took off the top and had her drink it out of the cup. It was SOOO cute! She was very excited about it, because it came so fast. HAHAHA! She did pretty good too, I'd say about 25-50% she actually got in her mouth and drank. She didn't know what to do with her tongue though, she kept sticking it out. I'll try it with her again every couple of days and see if she can get the hang of it.
She's also so close to rolling over from her back to her stomach it's not even funny. I bet I could blow her and she'd be over! I keep grabbing my camera every time she is close, but she won't do it. I'm sure she'll wait until I'm out of the room to do it the first time. She rolls all the time though from her stomach to her back. She's been schooching around a lot more too, she doesn't go anywhere, just spins in circles. She can also sit up by herself for a couple seconds at a time before she topples over.
Well, she is awake now, playing in her crib and talking to herself. She is getting really good at the "g" sounds. She also does some "b's" and "d's". She found a new way to talk that is really funny too!
Oh and we bought a lot, signed the papers yesterday! I'm really hoping everything works out with it and am crossing my fingers that we'll be able to have our house built and ready to move in by Venily's first birthday!! We'll see!
So I grabbed her and am trying to type while feeding her and it used to be no problem. But she is SOOOO interested in everything now, with every little noise she wants to see what is going on. It's really cute, but it makes it harder to feed her with her getting distracted all the time!
And now she is sitting in my lap and trying to type again. I have a feeling my updates are going to be fewer and fewer as the time goes by! Here is a message from Venily, before she gets mad...

March 4, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 2 weeks, 6 days old)
Alright I finally updated the front page! I still need to update the family page, but it's a start! :) My PSP trial ended a few weeks ago, so I haven't been able to make anything like I'd like, but I'll hopefully renew it soon.
Venily is trying to move my hands off the keyboard so she can type, so I have to go, LOL!!

February 29, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 2 weeks, 2 days old)
Venily's 4 month pics are online now but babyhomepages won't let me put them up! I'll try to get them up soon.
I went to get Venily out of her crib this morning and she was completely turned sideways!! She must have been busy during the night, lol. And yesterday I had her on her stomach and she pushed up on all fours!!! Oh no! She was also trying to scooch around with her arms and go after her toys! I'm so not ready for this...

Venily had a great time at the Aquatic Center yesterday! I'm relieved and thinking she's going to have an even better time at the Dells! She was so relaxed in the water, she almost fell asleep, haha.
I bought her a bunch of different baby foods today at the store. I'm really excited!
I'd be lying if I said I thought I'd get her site updated anytime soon. We are busy! :) But maybe...

February 25, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 1 week, 5 days old)
Venily ate CARROTS today and LOVED them!!!!! :)
Aunt Jacki made her some home-made carrot baby food yesterday. I wasn't planning on giving her any today, but she ate ALL her oatmeal this morning and then I was eating yogurt today and she was staring at me like crazy and drooling and opening and closing her mouth, LOL!! I was only going to give her a bite of the carrots to see what she would do and she ate them right up. But when I went to put them away she got mad, lol, so I had to give her more! She gobbled them up like a little monster! I can't wait to see what else she likes! :)

February 24, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 1 week, 4 days old)
Jason has been working and/or busy the last several days and Venily and I have gotten down to a WONDERFUL routine!! I'm so happy! Of course we miss Daddy and we've been SOOOO fortunate to be able to spend all day of Venily's first 4 months together as a family, but with him here we're always busy doing something. Now Venily and I get to spend time together alone and I love it! And now that she's older, she is able to play by herself for periods of time so I can take a shower, eat, clean, etc. She's also taking AWESOME naps all by herself lately. I just lay her down with a toy when she starts looking a little sleepy and she'll talk and play with it for a little bit and the next time I look over at her, she's out! All of my laundry is done, my dishes are done, beds are made, floor vacuumed, etc!! Haha, you'd think I'd be able to get more done WITH Jason here, but that is not the case! I just CAN NOT wait until it gets nicer out and we can add long walks and trips to the park to our day! Oh I can't wait, I need Spring very badly!!!
Venily did GREAT at her pictures on Friday! We had to wait for like an hour because they were behind and she slept the whole time. When we got her out she was so happy and smiley. Next time I'm going to get some prop pictures done.... I'll have to think about what I want.... like bathtub pictures or something cute! We got these pictures online again, so when I get them in a couple of days, I'll be sure to put them up! We got one pose for her package and they also gave us 2 free sheets of 2 other poses because we had to wait so long.
My poor dear inherited a very unfortunate trait from her mom and dad!! All of her sleeves and pants are too short on her (even on some of her 6m clothes). LOL. I have no doubt that she's going to be taller than me! Oh, and her cereal eating is going EXTREMELY well. I'm pretty sure it's the highlight of her day! She's a little eating monster. She can't get enough and any time I'm eating around her she's always trying to grab at what I'm eating. She wants real food so badly! Haha, she sure likes to make a mess though!

February 20, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 1 week old)
Venily tried oatmeal today and LOVED it!! She was grabbing onto the spoon and pulling it to her mouth she loved it so much, lol! She likes to make quite the mess too, putting her hands in her mouth at the same time.... I have to find a way to restrain her! After a few days of oatmeal, she'll be onto mixed grains and then real baby food!!!
She has been in SUCH a great mood today and yesterday! Her teething is getting better for now. She's biting like crazy still, but it doesn't seem to be hurting her like it was, which is great. BUT...no teeth are poking through yet, so I'm sure it'll be bad again soon. I just really enjoy having my happy little baby back for now. She was seriously so unbelievably happy all day today, it was just precious! She played in her crib for an hour this morning just talking and laughing to herself and was like that ALL day. She even took some really good, long naps today all by herself w/ no fussing and I didn't even have to hold her! She was just so content.
She has a picture appointment on Friday for her 4 month pics at JCPenny again and I'll be able to pick up her 3 month ones too. We're also probably going to Chuck E. Cheese again after her pictures. This will be Venily's 2nd time there, but hopefully this time she'll be able to be awake and actually have fun looking around. :) Next week we want to take her to the Aquatic Center to see how she'll like the water before we go to the Dells next month. Venily rolled over from her stomach to her back yesterday while at Aunt Jacki and Uncle Jake's house! And she did it for me again today!! Yay!! She actually doesn't seem to mind laying down so much any more as long as there is stuff for her to look at. She's really close to rolling from her back to her stomach too, but still can't get over her arm!

February 15, 2008 (Venily is 4 months, 2 days old)
Sorry, I've been soooo busy! And Venily has been quite the crabby patty lately, haha! She is teething so bad, it makes me really sad. Why can't babies be born with slots for thier teeth to come through?! It's just not fair! She did like her rice cereal the other day though. I have to wait until she is not super hungry otherwise it doesn't come fast enough and she gets mad. It's so cute to watch her eat it!
We didn't do much for Valentine's Day. We're not too crazy about the holiday. Jason and I spent the whole day fixing up our house, cleaning, and painting the bathroom, and parts of the living room, kitchen and our bedroom. We got a lot done! Venily just hung out with her Grandma.
Can you believe it!? On this day last year we found out we were pregnant!!!! Time is just flying by!
