Haven Teeth and Sleep!

I am officially counting Haven's Tooth #16 as of yesterday (bottom left cuspid)!!  #14 and #15 (the top two cuspids) were all the way through as of May 1st.  Which means we now have a break until the 2 year molars!!!  Yay!!

And, not so coincidentally, Haven has been back to sleeping through the night again the last 2.5 weeks straight!!!!!!!!  For the last 2 days she has also been back to sleeping in her bed instead of on the couch for her naps as well!!  Hopefully no more teeth= no more sleeping problems!!!

Now, onto potty training!!!!!  Every day I keep telling myself I'm going to start, but I keep coming up with excuses not to!!  I need to just DO it already!!!  We had a good streak of 3 days in a row where she pooped in the potty and she tells us 9/10 when she has to poop (sometimes up to 20 minutes before she poops), but I just need to be consistent and get to it!

WHEATLAND 4K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to blog about this!!!!!  I have been so super busy!!!!

Last Friday we got a call from the Wheatland District Administrator saying that Venily got accepted into Wheatland's 4K program  (the very top school/ program on my wish list for her!!!!!!)!!!!!   I'm so incredibly happy!!  Almost everyone I talked to said there was pretty much no way she'd get in and we had left a ton of messages for the district administrator and he wasn't calling us back, so I figured there was no way!  He said that they had a school board hearing regarding early admission for children who have birthdays after the cut-off and they changed the school board rule!  Also, Venily doesn't have to have another 4K screening, after viewing the results of her other 4K screening, he felt she was definitely able to move on to 4K next year!!  Yay!!! I had to fill out yet another bunch of papers to get her signed up for Wheatland now and am hoping to hear soon whether she'll be in the morning or afternoon class!  I still can't even believe it!!

She'll either be taking the bus to school or home from school next year (depending on if she's am or pm)!  It's 5x a week and I LOVE her teacher Mrs. Graham!  ♥  I used to sub for her all the time while pregnant with Venily.  I love the classroom, I love their schedule, I love their rules, etc. and I love that I am so familiar with everything!!  I don't know how it is to be a parent with no teaching background, but I can tell you that it absolutely drives me crazy to not really know what's going on at her school (don't get me wrong, I get papers home each week detailing projects they do, books they've read, what they're learning, etc.  PLUS a monthly newsletter and calendar saying what they do, but I still want more, lol!).  Maybe that's just me?!  If there was a video camera on her at all times and I could view it online, I'd probably watch it the whole time, haha!

How early is too early to get all the stuff on Venily's school supply list for next year?!  Lol, I'm just a little excited... :)  Venily is just as excited as I am though, which is GREAT!!!!!  Neither of us can wait!!

Oh, and Venily spent an entire hour at the IKEA children's drop-off room thing (like a drop in day care) on Saturday all by herself!!!!!   I told her about it before we went and she really wanted to do it.  I figured once it came down to it, she'd change her mind, but she went and had a blast!!!  There is a treehouse thing with a movie playing, a play kitchen with lots of food, coloring stations, and a big ball pit and she told us she went around and played at all the different areas and made some friends!!!  She's so awesome!!!  ♥  And here I was worried about her...

Venily is doing a great job!

On her shyness towards adults!  I don't know what exactly has been the key, but I have seen sooooo many improvements from her over the last month!!

On Monday she went to a dentist appointment (her 3rd she's had- 2 cleanings and 1 for sealing her molars) and did phenomenal!!!  She has always done great at the dentist and it has been a shock each and every time!  She even got an x-ray taken and fluoride treatment this time!  She did everything she was asked, and spoke to everyone and wasn't shy one bit! :)  I even had to bring the 2 little girls with and was worried about keeping them entertained while keeping Venily calm and it wasn't a problem at all- all 3 girls did great!

Monday night at dance class it had been 2 weeks since her last class since last week they had "spring break" so I was worried if she'd regress at all... and she definitely did NOT!!!  She ran right out there with the other girls and put on quite a show, lol.  I actually think she could stand to tone it down a bit, haha.  She is so crazy, but also an awesome dancer! :)  I am sad that the program we go through for all of Venily's activities doesn't offer dance in the summer!!!   I really wish they did.  I think we are going to send her to a volleyball class and a tumbling class, however.  They also have baseball, soccer, and basketball... but we didn't have such great results for baseball or soccer the last time we tried!

She has also done well at talking to tons of other adults over the last few weeks!!  I am very proud of her!!

Resolution Review- April!

Resolution check!! 1/3 of the way down with this year already!

RESOLUTION #1: read 100 books this year.  So far I've read:
January- 11 books
February- 5 books
March- 10 books
April- 8 books

TOTAL: 34 books (to stay on track, I should have 33 1/3 books read so far)

STATUS: Staying on track despite this being a difficult month!!  I started watching another child during the days AND I had a week where both Allison (the 5 year old I watch) and Venily both had Spring break!  And I survived, lol, though just barely- 4 girls at once is a lot to handle! :)

Is it bad that I have my 14 digit library card # memorized but I couldn't tell you a single digit of my bank account #, lol?!  I literally go on our library's website every single day to put books on hold, renew books, and check to see if any of my holds are in!  And I usually go to the actual library 3-4 times a week! :)  We usually have about 20 books checked out at any given time (both me and the girls) and another 20 on hold at any given time! :)  AND my calendar is slowly filling up with new releases.... I have to put them on hold ASAP as soon as they get into the system which is usually about a week before their release dates, lol!

Right now I have a huge stack of books I can't wait to read!  (I LOVE when that happens!  And the new Sookie Stackhouse book comes out on Tues!!!!  I put it on hold like a week ago, but I have no idea how fast I'll get it... it is taking all of my patience and self control NOT to buy it!!!!).

This month I read: Water for Elephants (and went and saw the movie!)- I liked both a lot!, The Maze Runner and the sequel The Scorch Trials (LOVED, LOVED, LOVED them!!  Can't wait for the 3rd to come out!), Incarceron (I liked this one a ton too, so different!  I have the sequel and am reading that soon as well), Book 5 in the Nighthuntress series and Book 2 in the Nighthuntress world (one of my favorite series), and the 2nd and 3rd books in the Anita Blake series (skipped book 1 since I accidentally checked out the graphic novel last year and ended up reading it, lol, but I put book 1 on hold b/c I want to read it now!) (LOVED this series as well... I put all the rest on hold and can't wait to read them all!!!).

RESOLUTION #3:

STATUS:  Completed 2/17.  And I'm now eligible to donate again, so I need to get on that!

RESOLUTION #4:
Getting boudoir pictures taken of myself.
STATUS:  Hoping to have completed in May.  I've officially moved from "excited and a little nervous" to "extremely terrified and wondering what I was thinking", lol, but I WILL do it! :)  For me, resolutions are NOT supposed to be easy!
